PSD-93 Antibody (D-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects PSD-93 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PSD-93, also known as channel-associated protein of synapse-110 or chapsyn-110, plays a crucial role in the assembly of signal transduction complexes at postsynaptic sites, particularly in hippocampal neurons. PSD-93 is essential for the clustering and anchoring of NMDA receptors at synapses, which is vital for synaptic plasticity and memory formation. Notably, PSD-93 interacts specifically with the glutamate receptor subunit δ2, which is predominantly found in Purkinje neuron cell bodies and dendrites. The co-localization of PSD-93 and δ2 at parallel fiber synapses underscores PSD-93′s importance in modulating synaptic transmission and ensuring proper neuronal communication. Anti-PSD-93 antibody (D-2) enables researchers to gain valuable insights into the dynamics of synaptic signaling and the underlying mechanisms of neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative disorders.
