PRX VI Antibody (G-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PRX VI in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PRX VI (G-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PRX VI, also known as antioxidant protein 2 (AOP2), is a unique member of the peroxiredoxin family, which plays a crucial role in cellular defense against oxidative stress by reducing reactive oxygen species (ROS). PRX VI is primarily localized in the cytosol of epithelial cells, where PRX VI functions independently of other peroxiredoxins, specializing in antioxidant defense, lung phospholipid metabolism, and protecting keratinocytes from ROS-induced cell death. PRX VI maintains cellular homeostasis and protects tissues from oxidative damage, which is particularly vital in conditions where oxidative stress is elevated, such as inflammation and cancer. PRX VI has been implicated in various cellular processes, including cell proliferation and differentiation, highlighting PRX VI′s multifaceted role in health and disease.
