PRX IV Antibody (F-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PRX IV protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-PRX IV antibody (F-2) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PRX IV protein, also known as Peroxiredoxin-4, plays a crucial role in cellular defense against oxidative stress by reducing reactive oxygen species (ROS), thereby protecting cells from damage that can lead to various diseases, including cancer and neurodegenerative disorders. PRX IV is primarily localized in the endoplasmic reticulum and is secreted into the extracellular space, where PRX IV can exert protective effects on surrounding cells. Such unique localization of PRX IV is significant because PRX IV allows for ROS detoxification in a compartment where protein folding and maturation occur, thus maintaining cellular homeostasis. PRX IV is involved in various cellular processes, including cell proliferation and differentiation, highlighting PRX IV′s importance in both normal physiology and disease states. Human PRX IV gene is abundantly expressed across many tissues, indicating PRX IV′s essential role in maintaining cellular health and function.
