PRX III Antibody (1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PRX III protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-PRX III antibody (1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PRX III, a member of the peroxiredoxin family, plays a crucial role in cellular defense against oxidative stress by reducing reactive oxygen species (ROS) and maintaining redox homeostasis. PRX III′s localization within the mitochondria is particularly significant, as this organelle is a major site of ROS production during cellular respiration. By effectively neutralizing ROS in the mitochondria, PRX III helps to prevent oxidative damage to mitochondrial DNA and proteins, which is vital for maintaining mitochondrial function and overall cellular health.
