SEE ALSO...

PRX II Antibody (A-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects PRX II protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-PRX II antibody (A-2) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PRX II protein, part of the peroxiredoxin family, plays a crucial role in cellular defense against oxidative stress by reducing reactive oxygen species (ROS), thereby protecting cells from damage that can lead to various diseases, including cancer and neurodegenerative disorders. PRX II is predominantly localized in the cytoplasm, where PRX II interacts with thioredoxin to facilitate antioxidant functions. This localization enables effective neutralization of ROS generated during cellular metabolism, maintaining cellular homeostasis and preventing oxidative damage. Expression levels of PRX II are notably increased in certain cancers, such as breast cancer, and in conditions like Alzheimer′s disease, highlighting PRX II′s potential role in disease progression and pathogenesis. Using PRX II (A-2) antibody in research can provide valuable insights into oxidative stress mechanisms and their implications in various biological processes and diseases.

Are there any issues with using sc-515428: PRX II (A-2) mouse monoclonal primary antibody on mouse samples?

Asked by: AbPolly
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent,we recommend using a directly conjugated primary antibody. Please contact our special orders department for pricing and availability of sc-515428 conjugates.
