    SEE ALSO...

PRPF38A Antibody (F-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 kappa light chain antibody that detects PRPF38A protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-PRPF38A antibody (F-7) is available as the non-conjugated form. PRPF38A, also known as Pre-mRNA-splicing factor 38A, is a crucial 312 amino acid nuclear protein that plays a significant role in pre-mRNA splicing, essential for messenger RNA maturation and gene expression regulation. PRPF38A (F-7) antibody targets a protein located in the nucleus, where PRPF38A participates in spliceosome assembly and function, ensuring accurate removal of introns from pre-mRNA transcripts. Proper functioning of PRPF38A is vital, as splicing errors can lead to various diseases, including cancer and neurodegenerative disorders. PRPF38A is encoded by a gene on human chromosome 1, notable for associations with numerous genetic disorders, including Hutchinson-Gilford progeria and familial adenomatous polyposis. Two isoforms of PRPF38A, resulting from alternative splicing, highlight this protein′s complexity and regulatory potential in cellular processes.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-373907 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: jenniferc
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
