PPIH Antibody (G-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects PPIH (peptidylprolyl isomerase H) in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PPIH is a 177 amino acid protein belonging to the cyclophilin-type peptidylprolyl isomerase family, and plays a crucial role in protein folding by catalyzing the cis-trans isomerization of proline imidic peptide bonds in oligopeptides. This function facilitates proper protein folding, essential for stability and functionality. PPIH is implicated in pre-mRNA splicing, interacting with processing factors such as PRPF3, PRPF4, and PRPF18, and contributes to the assembly of the U4/U5/U6 tri-snRNP complex, highlighting importance in the spliceosome′s function. As a protein chaperone, PPIH possesses peptidylprolyl isomerase activity and mediates interactions between various proteins within the spliceosome, making PPIH a key player in gene expression regulation. PPIH contains one PPIase cyclophilin-type domain and is inhibited by cyclosporin A, emphasizing significance in cellular processes.
