    SEE ALSO...

PPIH Antibody (C-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 kappa light chain antibody that detects PPIH protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-PPIH antibody (C-1) is available as the non-conjugated form. PPIH, or peptidylprolyl isomerase H, is a 177 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in protein folding and isomerization, specifically catalyzing the cis-trans isomerization of proline imidic peptide bonds in oligopeptides. This function is vital as PPIH facilitates proper folding of proteins, which is essential for their stability and functionality. Additionally, PPIH is implicated in pre-mRNA splicing, interacting with processing factors such as PRPF3, PRPF4, and PRPF18, and contributes to the assembly of the U4/U5/U6 tri-snRNP complex, a critical component of the spliceosome. As a protein chaperone, PPIH not only possesses peptidylprolyl isomerase activity but also mediates interactions between various proteins within the spliceosome, highlighting its importance in the regulation of gene expression. PPIH contains one PPIase cyclophilin-type domain and is inhibited by cyclosporin A, making PPIH a significant target for studies related to protein interactions and splicing mechanisms.
