SEE ALSO...

PP5 Antibody (H-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PP5 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-PP5 antibody (H-7) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PP5, also known as protein phosphatase T (PP-T, PPP5C), plays a crucial role in cellular regulation by dephosphorylating serine and threonine residues, which is vital for processes such as cell division, homeostasis, and apoptosis. Located predominantly in the nucleus, PP5 is part of the PPP phosphatase family and the PP-T subfamily, and interacts with key proteins such as CDC16 and CDC27, which are essential for the progression of the cell cycle. By regulating the phosphorylation state of various substrates, including skeletal muscle phosphorylase and histone H1, PP5 is implicated in the control of mitosis and RNA biogenesis, making PP5 an important target for studies related to cell cycle regulation and gene expression.
