SEE ALSO...

PP2A-B56-γ (E-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody raised against PP2A-B56-gamma (also designated Serine/Threonine phosphatase PP2A-B56 alpha, B56A, PR61A, B56alpha, protein phosphatase 2 regulatory subunit B56 alpha, protein phosphatase 2 (PP2A) B56 alpha, PPP2R5A protein phosphatase 2 regulatory subunit B′alpha, PP2A heterotrimeric (structural A, regulatory B, catalytic C) protein phosphatase, PP2A phosphatase regulatory B56 alpha, protein phosphatase 2 complex, or Ser/Thr phosphatase) that detects PP2A-B56-gamma protein of mouse, rat and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP) and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PP2A-B56-γ (E-6) antibody is available as both non-conjugated form and multiple conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC) and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. In eukaryotes, phosphorylation and dephosphorylation of proteins on serine and threonine residues is essential for regulating cellular functions, including division, homeostasis and apoptosis. Protein phosphatases play a crucial role in this process. The protein phosphatase (PP) holoenzyme forms a trimeric complex with regulatory, variable, and catalytic subunits. Four major protein phosphatase catalytic subunit families include PP1, PP2A, PP2B (calcineurin) and PP2C. PPX (also known as PP4) represents a potential new PP family member. PP2A family includes PP2Aα and PP2Aβ subfamily members. PP2A catalytic subunit combines with various regulatory subunits, including PP2A-A-α and -A-β, PP2A-B-α and -B-β, PP2A-C-α and -C-β, PP2A-B56-α, -B56-β, -B56-γ and -B56-δ.

I am using PP2A-B56-γ (E-6): sc-374380 monoclonal antibody to stain paraffin embedded tissue. Do you recommend antigen retrieval when using this antibody?

Asked by: Professor Griffin
We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
