SEE ALSO...

PP2A-B56-α Antibody (F-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects PP2A-B56-alpha protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-PP2A-B56-α antibody (F-10) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PP2A-B56-alpha plays a crucial role in regulating cellular processes through involvement in serine and threonine residue dephosphorylation, vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis, regulating cell division, and controlling apoptosis. As a member of the protein phosphatase 2A (PP2A) family, PP2A-B56-alpha functions as a regulatory subunit interacting with the PP2A holoenzyme catalytic subunit, forming a trimeric complex essential for enzymatic activity. This interaction enables precise regulation of various signaling pathways, influencing numerous physiological processes and highlighting PP2A-B56-alpha′s significance in cellular function and potential implications in disease-related pathway disruptions.

Hello, Do you know if this antibody cross-reacts with any of the other proteins from the same regulatory subunit family (PPP2R5B,C,D,E) Thanks!

Asked by: DanL
Thank you for your question. PP2A-B56-α Antibody (F-10) is a mouse monoclonal antibody raised against a peptide mapping at the C-terminus of PP2A-B56-α of human origin. Based on the data published on our website, we believe the antibody is very specific to PP2A-B56-α, however we have not specifically tested it for potential cross-reactivity with other family members.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-271151 P appropriate for?

Asked by: AbPolly
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
