SEE ALSO...

POU6F2 Antibody (F-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects POU6F2 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-POU6F2 antibody (F-7) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. POU6F2, also known as RPF-1 (retina-derived POU domain factor 1), plays a crucial role in the differentiation of neuronal cells, particularly during the development of the central nervous system. This 683 amino acid nuclear protein is specifically expressed in the central nervous system, localizing to neurons in the dorsal hypothalamus and retinal cells, where POU6F2 acts as a transcription factor essential for the early differentiation of amacrine and ganglion cells. POU6F2 contains a homeobox DNA-binding domain and a POU-specific domain, and exists in two alternatively spliced isoforms. The gene encoding POU6F2 is located on human chromosome 7p14.1, and defects in POU6F2 have been linked to Wilms tumor 5 (WT5), highlighting its importance in both normal development and disease.
