    SEE ALSO...

Porimin Antibody (G-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects Porimin protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Porimin (G-2) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Porimin, a 189 amino acid keratinocyte-associated pro-oncosis cell surface receptor, plays a critical role in mediating oncotic cell death by inducing membrane injury through rapid pore formation on the plasma membrane. This process is particularly significant as Porimin is associated with various forms of cell death, including apoptosis and cytolysis, and is characterized by organelle swelling, vacuolization, and increased membrane permeability. Porimin (G-2) monoclonal antibody recognizes a member of the cell membrane-associated Mucin family, distinguished by numerous O-linked and seven N-linked glycosylation sites on the extracellular domain, which are essential for function and stability. Notably, Porimin is expressed in all tissues except the ovary, with high expression levels observed in colorectal adenocarcinoma and lung carcinoma, indicating potential role in cancer biology. Porimin-mediated cell death is often preceded by cell aggregation and formation of membrane blebs, and may also inhibit cell adhesion, highlighting multifaceted role in cellular processes.
