POGK Antibody (F-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects POGK protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). POGK (F-1) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. POGK protein, also known as BASS2 or LST003, is a 609 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in the regulation of gene expression and is believed to be involved in the DNA-mediated transposon family. Localized primarily in the nucleus, POGK features an N-terminal KRAB (Kruppel-associated box) domain, which is a well-known transcriptional repression motif, an HTH CENP-B-type (helix-turn-helix and centromere protein B-type) DNA-binding domain, and a C-terminal DDE domain. The presence of the KRAB domain, approximately 75 amino acids in length, is significant as POGK effectively represses transcription, thereby influencing various cellular processes. Additionally, the DDE domain, characterized by two conserved aspartic acids and a conserved glutamic acid, is essential for POGK′s function in DNA transposition and integration, making POGK a key player in genomic stability and regulation.
