POFUT1 Antibody (F-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects POFUT1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). POFUT1 (F-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. POFUT1, also known as protein O-fucosyltransferase 1, plays a crucial role in regulating Notch signaling pathways, which are essential for cell communication and differentiation during development. By catalyzing fucose transfer to serine or threonine residues on target proteins, POFUT1 modifies these proteins, influencing their interactions and functions. Such post-translational modification is vital for proper functioning of Notch ligands, which serve as substrates for POFUT1, thereby impacting various biological processes such as cell fate determination and tissue homeostasis. POFUT1 is predominantly localized in the endoplasmic reticulum and is highly expressed in several tissues, including pancreas, kidney, lung, heart, brain, liver, placenta, and skeletal muscle. Two isoforms of POFUT1, resulting from alternative splicing, further highlight the complexity and regulatory potential of this protein in cellular signaling mechanisms.
