PMS1 Antibody (E-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PMS1 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PMS1 (E-3) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates, providing versatility for different experimental needs. PMS1 protein plays a crucial role in the DNA mismatch repair pathway, which is essential for maintaining genomic stability by correcting errors that occur during DNA replication. This function is particularly important because defects in the mismatch repair system can lead to an increased risk of various cancers, including hereditary nonpolyposis colorectal cancer (HNPCC) and other malignancies characterized by microsatellite instability. The identification of PMS1 and its homolog PMS2 as key players in this pathway has underscored the significance of understanding their interactions and mutations, as they can provide insights into cancer development and potential therapeutic targets. PMS1 (E-3) antibody enables researchers to contribute to the growing body of knowledge surrounding DNA repair mechanisms and their implications in cancer biology.
