PML Antibody (C-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects PML in human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PML, or promyelocytic leukemia protein, functions as a crucial zinc finger transcription factor that plays a significant role in regulating gene expression and cellular differentiation. PML (C-5) antibody′s importance is underscored by PML′s involvement in the pathogenesis of acute promyelocytic leukemia, where the PML/RARα chimeric protein, resulting from a chromosomal translocation, disrupts normal myeloid differentiation and promotes oncogenesis.
