    SEE ALSO...

PLC-XD1 Antibody (A-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PLC-XD1 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PLC-XD1 (A-1) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PLC-XD1, also known as phosphatidylinositol-specific phospholipase C X domain-containing protein 1, is a 323 amino acid enzyme characterized by its phospholipase C X domain, which is crucial for catalytic activity in hydrolyzing phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate to generate inositol trisphosphate and diacylglycerol, two important second messengers in cellular signaling pathways. Proper functioning of PLC-XD1 is vital for various physiological processes, including cell proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis, making PLC-XD1 a significant player in both normal cellular functions and disease states. PLC-XD1 is encoded by a gene located in the pseudoautosomal region 1 (PAR1) of the X and Y chromosomes, suggesting inheritance as an autosomal gene rather than in a sex-linked manner. Disruptions in recombination processes within these regions can lead to male infertility and certain aneuploidy conditions, highlighting PLC-XD1′s importance in reproductive health. Active genes in PAR1 that escape X inactivation indicate a complex evolutionary history, as these regions are remnants of the ancestral Y chromosome, further emphasizing PLC-XD1′s biological significance in both health and disease.
