PLC γ1 Antibody (1F1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects phospholipase C gamma 1 (PLC γ1) in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PLC γ1 plays a pivotal role in receptor-mediated signal transduction by generating second messengers inositol 1,4,5-triphosphate and diacylglycerol from phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate, which are essential for various cellular processes. PLC γ1 is predominantly located in the cytoplasm and is widely distributed in tissues such as bronchiolar epithelium, type I and II pneumocytes, and fibroblasts of the interstitial tissue, highlighting its importance in respiratory function and cellular signaling. The interaction of PLC γ1 with actin-regulatory protein Villin, which is tyrosine phosphorylated, further underscores its significance; Villin modulates PLC γ1 activity by altering binding affinity to phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate, thereby influencing cellular responses. Additionally, PLC γ1′s binding to Integrin α1/β1 enhances cell adhesion, while rapid activation in response to growth factor stimulation is crucial for regulating cell proliferation and differentiation. PLC γ1 also plays a protective role during oxidative stress, making PLC γ1 a vital component in maintaining cellular homeostasis and responding to environmental challenges.
