PLC β3 Antibody (H-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects phosphoinositide-specific phospholipase C β3 in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PLC β3 plays a pivotal role in cellular signaling by catalyzing the hydrolysis of phosphatidylinositol 4, 5-bisphosphate, leading to the production of inositol 1, 4, 5-triphosphate and diacylglycerol, which are crucial second messengers in numerous physiological processes such as cell growth, differentiation, and apoptosis. Notably, PLC β3 is one of the eight mammalian phospholipase C isozymes and is distinct in its regulatory mechanisms, being activated by G protein subunits and various protein tyrosine kinases that interact with SH2 domains. The presence of these SH2 and SH3 domains in the γ-type enzymes, including PLC β3, allows for intricate regulation and integration of signaling pathways, making PLC β3 essential for understanding receptor-mediated signal transduction. PLC β3′s ability to interact with specific proteins and involvement in critical signaling cascades underscore PLC β3′s importance in both normal physiology and disease states, highlighting anti-PLC β3 antibody (H-3)′s relevance in research and diagnostic applications.
