PLAC1 Antibody (G-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PLAC1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-PLAC1 antibody (G-1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PLAC1 protein is primarily located in the placenta, where PLAC1 plays a crucial role in placental development and function. Specifically, PLAC1 is expressed exclusively by trophoblastic cells, which are essential for establishing the interface between the mother and fetus. Such localization facilitates the exchange of nutrients and waste between maternal and fetal blood, ensuring proper fetal development. PLAC1 expression is upregulated during trophoblast differentiation and is influenced by various peptide growth factors, highlighting PLAC1′s importance in the dynamic processes of placental growth and function. PLAC1 can be detected in maternal blood, making PLAC1 a potential biomarker for monitoring placental health, although PLAC1 levels rapidly decline after delivery.
