PLAA Antibody (E-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects PLAA protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-PLAA antibody (E-1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PLAA protein, also known as phospholipase A-2-activating protein or DOA1, is a 795 amino acid protein characterized by one PFU domain, one PUL domain, and seven WD repeats. WD-repeat motifs, which are crucial for PLAA function, form a tertiary propeller structure that facilitates interactions with other proteins. These interactions support various cellular processes, including chromatin assembly, cell cycle regulation, signal transduction, RNA processing, apoptosis, and vesicular trafficking. PLAA plays a significant role in phospholipase A2 activation, which regulates inflammatory responses, making PLAA a key player in inflammatory disease pathophysiology.
