    SEE ALSO...

PKC ν (C-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects PKC nu protein of mouse, rat and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP) and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-PKC nu antibody (C-1) is available as both non-conjugated form, as well as multiple conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC) and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Members of the protein kinase C (PKC) family play a key regulatory role in cellular functions, including cell growth and differentiation, gene expression, hormone secretion and membrane function. PKCs were originally identified as serine/threonine protein kinases whose activity depended on calcium and phospholipids. Diacylglycerols (DAG) and tumor promoting phorbol esters bind to and activate PKC. PKCs can be subdivided into at least two major classes, including conventional (c) PKC isoforms (α, βI, βII and γ) and novel (n) PKC isoforms (δ, ε, ζ, η, θ, λ/ι, µ and ν). Patterns of expression for each PKC isoform differ among tissues and PKC family members exhibit clear differences in cofactor dependencies. For instance, PKC δ and ε kinase activities are independent of Ca2+, while most other PKC members possess phorbol ester-binding activities and kinase activities.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-376024 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: Germaine
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Off-target bands onlyI tried this antibody on a few different mouse tissue lysates (Western blot) and have not been able to get a band at the expected molecular weight. I know PKD3 is present as I can see it with a different antibody, but I only see bands around 20kDa and sometimes 60kDa using this antibody. I'd highly recommend the sample size before committing to this product.
