SEE ALSO...

Pitx1 Antibody (G-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects Pitx1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Pitx1 antibody (G-4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Pitx1 plays a crucial role in limb development, particularly in the hindlimb, where Pitx1 is involved in the regulation of morphogenesis and growth patterns. Pitx1 expression is notably observed in the developing anterior pituitary gland and the first branchial arch, highlighting Pitx1′s importance in various developmental processes. Deletion of Pitx1 locus has been shown to lead to a significant reduction in the expression of the hindlimb-specific marker T-box factor (TBX4), indicating Pitx1′s essential role in proper development of hindlimb structures. Pitx1 interacts with other transcription factors, including Pitx2, which regulates cardiac positioning and tooth morphogenesis, thereby underscoring the interconnected roles of these proteins in developmental biology. Genes encoding Pitx1 and Pitx2 are located on human chromosomes 5q31.1 and 4q25, respectively, and their functional interplay is vital for maintaining morphological distinctions between forelimbs and hindlimbs.
