Pim-2 Antibody (1D12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Pim-2 of mouse, rat, and human origin by WB, IP, IF, and IHCP. Pim-2 (1D12) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase, phycoerythrin, fluorescein isothiocyanate, and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Pim-2, also known as provirus integration site for Moloney murine leukemia virus, functions as a serine/threonine kinase that plays a critical role in cell survival and proliferation by promoting cell cycle progression and inhibiting apoptosis. This function is particularly important in hematopoietic cells, where Pim-2 is involved in the regulation of hematopoiesis and maintenance of stem cell populations. Pim-2 has been shown to interact with various proteins, including pro-apoptotic protein Bad, which Pim-2 phosphorylates to inhibit pro-apoptotic activity, thereby contributing to survival of cells under stress conditions. Human transcripts for Pim-2 have been detected in various tissues, including hematopoietic lineages, leukemic and lymphomic cells, as well as in brain, where Pim-2 is implicated in formation and preservation of long-term potentiation, a process essential for long-term memory.

Can Pim-2 (1D12): sc-13514 monoclonal antibody be used for double or triple staining, if the other primary antibodies are also raised in mouse?

Asked by: jenniferc
In this case, we recommend using a directly conjugated mouse monoclonal primary antibody. Pim-2 (1D12): sc-13514 is available conjugated to agarose (sc-13514 AC), 500 µg/0.25 ml agarose in 1 ml, for IP; HRP (sc-13514 HRP), 200 µg/ml, for WB, IHC(P) and ELISA; phycoerythrin (sc-13514 PE), fluorescein (sc-13514 FITC), Alexa Fluor® 488 (sc-13514 AF488) or Alexa Fluor® 647 (sc-13514 AF647), 200 µg/ml, for IF, IHC(P) and FCM
