PHOSPHO2 Antibody (G-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects PHOSPHO2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PHOSPHO2 (G-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PHOSPHO2 protein, also known as pyridoxal phosphate phosphatase PHOSPHO2, is a 241 amino acid protein that belongs to the HAD-like hydrolase superfamily and the PHOSPHO family, sharing 42% sequence identity with PHOSPHO1. PHOSPHO2 protein is crucial for regulating levels of pyridoxal 5′-phosphate (PLP), a cofactor essential for numerous enzymatic reactions, including those involved in amino acid metabolism and neurotransmitter synthesis. A PH domain in PHOSPHO2 facilitates interaction with phosphoinositides, which are vital for cellular signaling pathways. Encoded by a gene located on human chromosome 2q31.1, PHOSPHO2 exists in two alternatively spliced isoforms and exhibits enzymatic activity towards various substrates, including pyrophosphate and phosphoethanolamine, making PHOSPHO2 an important player in cellular metabolism and signaling.
