    SEE ALSO...

PHIP Antibody (B-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PHIP protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PHIP (B-1) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PHIP protein, also known as pleckstrin homology domain interacting protein, ndrp, or WDR11, is a crucial 1,821 amino acid protein characterized by eight N-terminal WD40 repeats and two bromodomains. PHIP protein is predominantly expressed in skeletal muscle, where PHIP localizes to both cytosol and nucleus, as well as in primary β cells, where PHIP is found in the nucleus. PHIP functions as a transcriptional activator and plays a significant role in insulin signaling by interacting with members of the insulin receptor substrate (IRS) family, particularly IRS-1 and IRS-2. These interactions are vital for mediating insulin receptor signaling, which is essential for proliferation and survival of insulin-producing β cells. PHIP′s association with the PH domain of IRS-1 suggests PHIP may serve as a critical link between IRS-1 and insulin receptors, thereby influencing regulation of insulin signaling pathways. Disruptions in the gene encoding PHIP can lead to impaired IRS-mediated signaling, resulting in inhibition of GLUT4 translocation in muscle cells, highlighting PHIP′s importance in metabolic processes. PHIP′s potential interaction with IRS-2 further underscores PHIP′s role in linking insulin receptors to key signaling pathways, making PHIP a significant protein in glucose homeostasis and metabolic health.

I am using the LiCor/Odyssey system. Which secondary antibody do you recommend using with PHIP (B-1): sc-398614?

    Asked by: TinTin
We recommend using one of our our exclusive Mouse IgG Binding Proteins conjugated to CFL 680 or CFL 790. They are suitable for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR/Odyssey and other comparable systems. A complete list of available binding proteins is available on our website here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/browse/support-products-mouse-igg-binding-proteins/_/N-ecrety
