PHF1 Antibody (H-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PHF1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-PHF1 antibody (H-1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PHF1, also known as PHD protein finger 1 or polycomb-like protein 1, consists of 567 amino acids and belongs to the PHD finger protein family, which plays a crucial role in transcriptional regulation by modulating chromatin structure. PHF1 is primarily localized in the nucleus and is widely expressed across various tissues, with particularly high levels found in the pancreas, heart, and skeletal muscle, while exhibiting lower expression in the liver, lung, kidney, brain, and placenta. PHF1 contains two PHD-type zinc finger domains that are essential for transcriptional activity. PHF1 interacts with ENX-1, a key component of the polycomb repressive complex 2 (PRC2), thereby enhancing the gene silencing capabilities of PRC2, which is vital for maintaining cellular identity and regulating developmental processes. PHF1 exists in two isoforms generated through alternative splicing, further diversifying functional roles in gene regulation.
