    SEE ALSO...

PHACTR3 Antibody (H-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PHACTR3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-PHACTR3 antibody (H-3) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PHACTR3, also known as phosphatase and actin regulator 3 or scapinin, is a crucial nuclear matrix protein composed of 559 amino acids that plays a significant role in cellular signaling by inhibiting protein phosphatase 1 (PP1) activity through interactions with actin and PP1α catalytic subunit. This inhibition is vital for regulating various cellular functions, including cell division, homeostasis, and apoptosis, as PHACTR3 modulates phosphorylation state of target proteins. PHACTR3 is predominantly expressed in brain, with lower expression levels found in placenta, thymus, and spleen. Notably, mutations in PHACTR3 gene have been implicated in non-small cell lung carcinoma, correlating with poorer prognosis, and PHACTR3 is upregulated in several tumor types, particularly isoform 3, which is a major form expressed in GOTO, HL-60, and U937 cell lines. Additionally, PHACTR3 exists in three isoforms due to alternative splicing, highlighting complex regulatory roles in cellular processes.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-390843 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: DefinitelyNotMatt
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
