PHACTR1 Antibody (E-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects PHACTR1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PHACTR1 (E-2) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PHACTR1, also known as phosphatase and actin regulator 1, plays a crucial role in regulating actin cytoskeleton and is involved in cellular processes such as cell migration and adhesion. PHACTR1′s proper function is vital for maintaining cellular architecture and facilitating communication between cells, which is essential for tissue integrity and response to external stimuli. PHACTR1 is a 580 amino acid cytoplasmic protein that exists in two alternatively spliced isoforms and contains RPEL repeats, indicating involvement in actin dynamics. PHACTR1 gene is located on human chromosome 6, a region associated with various diseases, including early onset intestinal cancer and porphyria cutanea tarda, highlighting PHACTR1′s importance in both normal physiology and disease states.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-514800 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Trav11
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent new antibody for WB!This new mouse monoclonal PHACTR1 Antibody (E-2) has provided consistent and reliable results in Western blotting. We used the antibody at a dilution of 1:200 in 5% nonfat milk in TBST, and loaded 50 µg of whole cell lysate protein. Positive expression detected in an extensive range of cell lines including, HEK293T, Jurkat, NIH/3T3, HUV-EC-C, HL-60, and C6.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not workThis antibody does not work. Previously, i was using goat-Phactr1 antibody from Santa Cruz. Unfortunately, they discontinue that antibody. Then i was given a free sample to test this antibdoy. But the new antibody-does not work.
