SEE ALSO...

PGE synthase Antibody (H-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects PGE synthase in mouse, rat, and human samples through western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-PGE synthase antibody (H-3) is available in non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Prostaglandin E Synthase (PGE synthase), also known as PIG12 and MGST1-L1, functions as a key enzyme within the MAPEG protein superfamily, which includes membrane-associated proteins involved in eicosanoid and glutathione metabolism. PGE synthase (H-3) monoclonal antibody recognizes PGE synthase in seminal vesicles, deferent ducts, kidney, heart, and spleen, highlighting significant roles in various physiological processes, particularly inflammation and immune response. Proinflammatory cytokines such as interleukin-1 beta can upregulate PGE synthase expression, suggesting involvement in inflammatory diseases. Research has linked PGE synthase to Alzheimer′s disease progression, making this protein a potential therapeutic target. Located on chromosome 9q34, the human PGE synthase gene provides valuable insights for biological research.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-365844 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Trav11
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
