PGAM5 Antibody (A-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PGAM5 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PGAM5 (A-3) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PGAM5, also known as phosphoglycerate mutase family member 5, plays a crucial role in cellular metabolism, particularly in the regulation of glucose and 2,3-bisphosphoglycerate metabolism, by catalyzing the transfer of phosphate groups between phosphoglycerate molecules. This enzymatic activity is vital for maintaining energy homeostasis and supporting various metabolic pathways, which are essential for cell survival and function. PGAM5 is a 289 amino acid protein that exists in two isoforms due to alternative splicing, with one isoform localized to the cytoplasm and the other found in both the cytoplasm and nucleus. PGAM5 forms dimers and has been shown to interact with key regulatory proteins such as Bcl-xS/L and Keap1, highlighting its importance in cellular signaling and stress response mechanisms.
