Pez Antibody (F-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Pez protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Pez antibody (F-12) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Pez protein, also known as protein tyrosine phosphatase Pez, PTP36, or tyrosine-protein phosphatase non-receptor type 14 (PTPN14), plays a crucial role in regulating cellular processes through its function as a protein tyrosine phosphatase. Pez (F-12) antibody targets a protein primarily located in the cytosol, with significant concentration at intercellular junctions, and is expressed in various tissues such as the placenta, lung, kidney, and skeletal muscle. Pez contains one protein tyrosine phosphatase domain and one FERM (4.1, ezrin, radixin, moesin) domain, which are essential for interactions and regulatory functions. Notably, in actively proliferating cells where cell-cell contacts are disrupted, Pez can translocate to the nucleus, a process that is inhibited by TGFβ, a protein known to suppress cell proliferation. Additionally, Pez localization is influenced by serum concentrations, with higher levels leading to nuclear accumulation, indicating potential involvement in cell proliferation regulation.
