Pescadillo Antibody (H-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects pescadillo protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-pescadillo antibody (H-10) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Pescadillo, also known as PES1, consists of 588 amino acids and is the human homolog of zebrafish pescadillo, exhibiting 74% sequence identity with its zebrafish counterpart. PES1 plays a crucial role in cell cycle regulation and is essential for proper embryonic development, particularly during early stages of zebrafish development where PES1 is highly expressed. Notably, PES1 is predominantly found in liver, kidney, and testis in adult mouse tissues, while PES1 expression is minimal in skeletal muscle. PES1 upregulation has been observed in human breast carcinoma and glioblastoma cells, indicating potential involvement in tumorigenesis. Additionally, proliferation in HeLa cells is contingent upon PES1 expression, highlighting PES1 significance in cellular growth and division.
