Peroxin 26 Antibody (A-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Peroxin 26 (PEX26) of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-PEX26 antibody (A-9) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PEX26 plays a crucial role in peroxisome biogenesis by facilitating the recruitment and anchoring of Peroxin 1 and Peroxin 6 to the peroxisome membrane, which is essential for the formation of heteromeric AAA ATPase complexes. These complexes are vital for the import of various proteins, such as catalase, into peroxisomes, which are single-membrane-bound organelles involved in critical metabolic processes, including the beta-oxidation of very long-chain fatty acids and the detoxification of hydrogen peroxide. Proper functioning of PEX26 is essential for normal cellular metabolism and development, as defects in the gene encoding PEX26 can lead to severe peroxisome-related disorders, including Zellweger syndrome, infantile Refsum disease, and peroxisome biogenesis disorder complementation group 8. PEX26 monoclonal antibody (A-9) in multiple formats enhances research applications, making PEX26 (A-9) antibody an invaluable tool for studying peroxisome function and related pathologies.

Two questions. 1) Under the same conditions, samples of 2nd anti rabbit and got were confirmed, But! 2nd anti mouse (sc-516102) was not confirmed. I want to know why. 2) Which samples should be "reducing(mercapto)" or not. What are the criteria?

What application is the blocking peptide sc-376817 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Randy McDonald
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
