    SEE ALSO...

Peroxin 14 Antibody (1G12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Peroxin 14 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Peroxin 14 antibody (1G12) is available as the non-conjugated format. Peroxin 14 plays a crucial role in peroxisome biogenesis, serving as a docking site for proteins that contain peroxisome targeting signals. Located on the peroxisomal membrane, Peroxin 14 is essential for the import of various enzymes and proteins into peroxisomes, which are vital organelles involved in lipid metabolism and the detoxification of reactive oxygen species. Peroxin 14 facilitates the transport of proteins like Peroxin 5 and Peroxin 7, which are responsible for recognizing and shuttling proteins with peroxisome targeting signals from the cytosol into the peroxisome. Disruptions in Peroxin 14 function can lead to severe metabolic disorders, including peroxisome biogenesis disorders, which are characterized by a range of neurological and developmental issues. Peroxin 14′s role in maintaining cellular homeostasis and involvement in critical metabolic pathways underscore its significance in both health and disease, making Peroxin 14 (1G12) antibody a valuable tool for researchers studying peroxisome-related functions and disorders.
