    SEE ALSO...

PDGFRL Antibody (F-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PDGFRL protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-PDGFRL antibody (F-2) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PDGFRL, also known as platelet-derived growth factor receptor-like protein, is a 375 amino acid secreted protein that shares significant sequence similarity with the extracellular domain of PDGFR-β. PDGFRL is primarily located in the extracellular space, where PDGFRL plays a crucial role in cell signaling pathways that regulate cell growth and differentiation. PDGFRL localization is particularly important as PDGFRL allows for the modulation of ligand activity, which can influence tumorigenesis. PDGFRL gene is situated on chromosome 18, a region frequently mutated in various cancers, including colorectal cancers, hepatocellular carcinomas, and non-small cell lung cancers. Mutations in PDGFRL, such as a somatic mutation at codon 23 in colorectal cancers and a two base pair deletion at codon 175 in hepatocellular carcinomas, highlight PDGFRL′s potential role as a tumor suppressor. PDGFRL is preferentially expressed in normal liver, lung, and colon tissues, suggesting PDGFRL′s involvement in maintaining normal cellular functions and potential as a therapeutic target in cancer treatment.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-393355 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: Randy McDonald
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
