Pdcd-1 Antibody (RMP1-14) is a rat monoclonal IgG2a light chain antibody that detects the Programmed Cell Death-1 protein (Pdcd-1) of mouse and rat species by western blotting (WB), immunofluorescence (IF), and flow cytometry (FCM). Anti-Pdcd-1 antibody (RMP1-14) recognizes a type I transmembrane receptor that plays a crucial role in regulating immune responses, particularly in T cell activation and tolerance. Pdcd-1 (RMP1-14) monoclonal antibody detects this protein primarily on the surface of activated T cells, B cells, and myeloid cells, where Pdcd-1 functions as a negative regulator of immune signaling. Pdcd-1 expression on immune cells is vital for maintaining immune homeostasis and preventing autoimmunity by inhibiting excessive T cell activation and proliferation. When Pdcd-1 interacts with PD-L1 and PD-L2 ligands, phosphatases like SHP-1 and SHIP are recruited, dampening T cell receptor signaling. This mechanism is particularly important in tumor microenvironments, where cancer cells often exploit Pdcd-1 pathway to evade immune detection. Anti-Pdcd-1 antibody (RMP1-14) enables researchers to gain valuable insights into immune response regulation and potential therapeutic targets for enhancing anti-tumor immunity.
