    SEE ALSO...

PCSK1N Antibody (D-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PCSK1N protein of mouse and rat origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PCSK1N (D-11) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PCSK1N protein, also known as proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 1 inhibitor, is a 260 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in regulating the neuroendocrine secretory pathway, particularly by inhibiting proprotein convertase 1 (PCSK1), which is essential for the processing of prohormones and neuropeptides. This inhibition is vital for maintaining proper hormonal balance and neuropeptide signaling, which can have significant implications for metabolic and neurological health. PCSK1N is expressed in both the pancreas and brain, and PCSK1N localization to the trans-Golgi network is important for function in protein processing and secretion. The gene encoding PCSK1N is located on human chromosome X, which is significant not only for its role in sex determination but also for its association with various genetic conditions when abnormalities occur in sex chromosome number or structure.
