    SEE ALSO...

PCDHAC Antibody (2C1/E7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PCDHAC protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-PCDHAC antibody (2C1/E7) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Protocadherins, including PCDHAC, play a crucial role in establishing and maintaining neuronal connections, vital for proper brain function and communication between neurons. PCDHAC protein belongs to a larger family of clustered protocadherins highly expressed in the nervous system and involved in synaptic recognition and adhesion. PCDHAC derives from the PCDHA gene cluster, consisting of 14 cadherin-related molecules exhibiting unique expression patterns regulated by individual promoters. PCDHAC genomic structure, located on chromosome 5, highlights significance in the serotonergic system through strong expression in serotonergic neurons, influencing neurotransmission and potentially impacting mood and behavior. Understanding PCDHAC function and interactions remains essential for elucidating roles in neurodevelopmental processes and implications in neurological disorders.
