Datasheets
  • PCDHA8 Antibody (A-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgM κ PCDHA8 antibody provided at 200 µg/ml
  • specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 573-588 within an internal region of PCDHA8 of rat origin
  • recommended for detection of PCDHA8 of mouse and rat origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA
  • m-IgGκ BP-HRP is the preferred secondary detection reagent for PCDHA8 Antibody (A-9) for WB applications. This reagent is now offered in a bundle with PCDHA8 Antibody (A-9) (see ordering information below). For additional m-IgGκ BP conjugates see our complete list of Mouse IgG Binding Proteins.

    SEE ALSO...

PCDHA8 Antibody (A-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects PCDHA8 of mouse and rat origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-PCDHA8 antibody (A-9) is available as the non-conjugated form. Protocadherins, including PCDHA8, play a crucial role in establishing and maintaining neuronal connections in the brain, which is vital for proper neural function and communication. PCDHA8 is a single-pass type I membrane protein composed of 950 amino acids and features six cadherin domains, highlighting structural importance in mediating cell adhesion. Encoded by a gene located within the protocadherin alpha gene cluster on human chromosome 5, PCDHA8 exists in multiple alternatively spliced isoforms, suggesting a complex regulatory mechanism that may influence function in neuronal connectivity. As a potential calcium-dependent cell adhesion protein, PCDHA8 is essential for synapse formation and neural network architecture, making PCDHA8 a significant target for research in neurobiology and related fields.
