PCDHA7/9 Antibody (G-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects PCDHA7/9 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-PCDHA7/9 antibody (G-10) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Protocadherins, such as PCDHA7, are crucial for establishing and maintaining neuronal connections in the brain, and belong to a large family of cadherin-like cell adhesion proteins. PCDHA7 is a 937 amino acid single-pass transmembrane protein characterized by six cadherin domains, suggesting a role as a potential calcium-dependent cell-adhesion protein. This function is vital for forming and stabilizing synaptic connections, influencing neuronal communication and plasticity. PCDHA7 interacts with Integrin β1, facilitating cell adhesion and forming oligomers with PCDH-gamma proteins at specific membrane sites, contributing to the intricate network of neuronal signaling. Alternative splicing of the PCDHA7 gene results in two isoforms, which may have distinct roles in cellular processes.
