PCDH2 Antibody (D-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PCDH2 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PCDH2 (D-11) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PCDH2, also known as protocadherin-2 or PCDHGC3, is a 934 amino acid single-pass type I membrane protein characterized by six cadherin domains, which are crucial for calcium-dependent cell-adhesion function. PCDH2 plays a vital role in establishing and maintaining neuronal connections in the brain, essential for proper neural network formation and function. PCDH2′s importance in neuronal connectivity is underscored by involvement in synaptic stability and plasticity, processes fundamental to learning and memory. Additionally, PCDH2 undergoes alternative splicing, resulting in multiple isoforms that may have distinct roles in cellular interactions and signaling pathways.
