Pax-3/7 Antibody (B-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that specifically recognizes an epitope mapping between amino acids 439-464 at the C-terminus of human Pax-3. Pax-3 and Pax-7, also known as Paired box protein Pax-3 and Paired box protein Pax-7, are transcription factors essential for early neurogenesis and muscle development. These proteins contain both a paired domain and a homeodomain, enabling them to bind DNA and regulate gene expression during embryonic development. Pax-3 and Pax-7 interact with various proteins, including MITF (Microphthalmia-associated transcription factor) and SOX10, which are crucial for melanocyte development and neural crest cell differentiation, respectively. The interaction between Pax-3 and these proteins is significant because mutations can lead to Waardenburg syndrome types I, II, and III, characterized by hearing loss and pigmentation abnormalities. anti-Pax-3/7 antibody (B-5) is reactive with Pax-3 and Pax-7 from mouse, rat, human, and other species such as equine, bovine, porcine, and avian, making Pax-3/7 (B-5) antibody versatile for applications like western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). By targeting Pax-3 and Pax-7 with Pax-3/7 (B-5) monoclonal antibody, researchers can study their roles in developmental processes, muscle regeneration, and diseases resulting from abnormal protein interactions. Understanding the protein-protein interactions of Pax-3 and Pax-7 is crucial for elucidating mechanisms underlying developmental disorders and certain cancers.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-365843 P appropriate for?

Asked by: jenniferc
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works well with IF on frozen sectionI have used the free Pax3/7 antibody sample on frozen section of embryos at e11.5 with IF. It worked very well. Best results came from keeping samples in -80C rather than -20C. Have not noticed a difference between fixed and unfixed conditions. We have now purchased the antibody for future experiments.
