    SEE ALSO...

Pancreasin Antibody (D-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects the Pancreasin protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Pancreasin (D-5) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The Pancreasin protein, also known as marapsin (MPN) or channel activating protease 2-like protein (CAPH2), is a secreted pancreatic serine peptidase that plays a crucial role in the cleavage of peptides after arginine residues, which is essential for various biological processes such as cell growth and migration. Pancreasin is N-glycosylated and is involved in important physiological functions, including receptor activation and tissue remodeling. Notably, Pancreasin interacts with other serine proteases like prostatin, Tryptase-γ, Testisin, and Tryptase-ε, sharing approximately 40% amino acid identity with Tryptase-α and Tryptase-β. These interactions highlight Pancreasin′s significance in the serine protease family, where the presence of cysteine residues allows for the formation of disulfide bonds that are critical for maintaining structural integrity. Additionally, Pancreasin′s unique features, such as the absence of a C-terminal membrane anchor found in other related proteins, further emphasize its specialized role in the pancreatic environment.
