SEE ALSO...

pan hnRNP Antibody (C-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects pan hnRNP protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). pan hnRNP (C-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoproteins (hnRNPs) play a crucial role in regulating pre-mRNA processing and transport by binding to heterogeneous nuclear RNA (hnRNA), which are transcripts produced by RNA polymerase II. hnRNP complexes are essential components of the spliceosome, with hnRNP A1 being one of the most significant pre-mRNA/mRNA binding proteins and most abundant proteins in the nucleus. hnRNP A1 and A2/B1 interaction with splicing factors is vital for pre-mRNA processing regulation, as these proteins can directly inhibit splicing factor association and influence splice site selection. While most hnRNP proteins localize in the nucleus, hnRNP C1 and C2 can shuttle between the nucleus and cytoplasm, contributing to functional versatility. hnRNPs F and H are closely related proteins that preferentially bind to poly(rG) regions on RNA, highlighting hnRNP interaction specificity. Alternative processing of pre-mRNA and post-translational modifications, including phosphorylation and methylation, further demonstrate hnRNP proteins′ complexity and regulatory potential in gene expression and RNA metabolism.
