Pallidin Antibody (A-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Pallidin protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Pallidin (A-11) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Pallidin plays a crucial role in the biogenesis of lysosome-related organelles complex-1 (BLOC-1), a multisubunit complex essential for the formation of specialized organelles within the endosomal-lysosomal system, such as melanosomes and platelet-dense granules. Pallidin′s structure, which is part of a complex that includes coiled-coil-forming proteins like Snapin, Cappuccino, Muted, BLOS1, BLOS2, and BLOS3, is vital for intracellular vesicle trafficking, particularly in vesicle-docking and fusion processes. BLOC-1′s proper assembly and function are critical for the development of these organelles, and any disruption in this process can lead to various cellular dysfunctions and diseases. Pallidin is widely expressed and can exist in both membrane-bound and soluble forms, highlighting versatility and importance in cellular dynamics.
