    SEE ALSO...

Paip2b Antibody (E-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Paip2b in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Paip2b antibody (E-9) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Paip2b, consisting of 123 amino acids, plays a crucial role in regulating polyadenylate-binding protein (PABP) activity, which is essential for mRNA metabolism, including translation initiation and mRNA stability. PABP interacts with the poly(A) tail of mRNA and translation initiation factor eIF4G, facilitating mRNA circularization, which enhances translation efficiency. Paip2b functions as a translational inhibitor by decreasing PABP′s affinity for polyadenylate RNA, thereby disrupting poly(A) ribonucleoprotein structure. This regulatory mechanism is vital for maintaining proper gene expression and cellular function, ensuring translation is finely tuned in response to cellular conditions. Paip2b interactions with other PABP-interacting proteins, such as PaiP1, which acts as a translational stimulator, highlight the complex network of regulation governing mRNA translation and stability.

I am using the LiCor/Odyssey system. Which secondary antibody do you recommend using with Paip2b (E-9): sc-514137?

    Asked by: Trav11
We recommend using one of our our exclusive Mouse IgG Binding Proteins conjugated to CFL 680 or CFL 790. They are suitable for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR/Odyssey and other comparable systems. A complete list of available binding proteins is available on our website here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/browse/support-products-mouse-igg-binding-proteins/_/N-ecrety
