PAFAH1B3 Antibody (D-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects PAFAH1B3 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-PAFAH1B3 antibody (D-8) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PAFAH1B3 protein, also known as the 29kDa subunit of the platelet-activating factor acetylhydrolase complex, plays a crucial role in the hydrolysis of the sn-2 ester bond of platelet-activating factor (PAF) and related pro-inflammatory phospholipids, thereby modulating their bioactivity and influencing inflammatory responses. PAFAH1B3 protein is primarily located in the cytoplasm and is essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis, particularly in the brain, where PAFAH1B3 contributes to neuronal development and function. PAFAH1B3 subunit interacts with PAFAH1B2 to form a heterodimer, which is vital for the enzyme′s stability and catalytic activity. Proper functioning of PAFAH1B3 is critical, as dysregulation has been implicated in various neurological disorders and inflammatory conditions.
