Pael-R Antibody (G-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Pael-R of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Pael-R (G-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Pael-R, also known as GPR37 (G protein-coupled receptor 37), is a 613 amino acid multi-pass membrane protein that plays a critical role in the central nervous system, particularly in the spinal cord and brain, with lower expression levels in the liver, testis, and placenta. Pael-R functions as an orphan receptor involved in regulating dopaminergic signaling pathways, and when overexpressed, can lead to protein unfolding and accumulation, ultimately resulting in dopaminergic neuronal death - a hallmark of juvenile Parkinson disease. Pael-R forms complexes with other proteins such as CHIP, HSP 70, and Parkin, which are essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis and protein quality control. The gene encoding Pael-R is located on human chromosome 7, a region associated with various genetic disorders, including Osteogenesis imperfecta, Pendred syndrome, and Williams-Beuren syndrome, highlighting Pael-R′s importance in both health and disease.
